San Sebastian Rio Hondo

After few days in Oaxaca City we came about 60 kms south of the city heading coast...But we stopped in the heart of the mountains...And stopped for 2 weeks! Cause we did a volunteer work there. We spent 2 weeks living in Indian town/village helping our host Anisha to create small, ecological farm there, in the mountains. In weekdays we work about 4 hrs daily digging in the garden, repearing fences, etc, in exchange of tasty and healthy, but very simple food and accommadation. Our village was situated about 2 500 metres below sea level, so at night it was quite cold, even about zero degrees, we had to put the fire in the fireplace...But during day it was at least 20-25 degrees...We enjoyed our time there, meeting a lot if local, indigenous people, talking with them, eating with them, etc...After this we headed to the seaside...before we go there we had to hitchhiked about 4 or 5 hours in truck o the pick up in the veeery curvy, mountainous road...But the landscapes were spectacular. We spent about 5 days on the seaside, sleeping in tent on the beach, maybe 20metres from the sea, for small money (bout 2 euro per night per person), eating fresh coconuts and fighting with huuuge waves. Excellent time!
